Since our founding in 1993, EXO Travel has had a steadfast commitment to responsible travel. As we enter our fourth decade of operations, this commitment is stronger than ever, with our Purpose Team proudly at the helm.
The Purpose Team is led by Alexandra Michat. After many years as our Director of Sustainability and EXO Foundation, Alexandra assumed the role of Chief Purpose Officer (CPO) in September 2022.
In this position, she has focused her efforts on ensuring EXO has a net positive impact on three key areas: Destinations, EXO People and Guests & Clients.
To support this vital work, Alexandra is joined by Nhabhakhavhat (Joy) Kittithamavoot as Director of People and Culture, Jiriphat (Eidd) Briand as Sustainability Leader and Beatriz Suarez as EXO Foundation Leader. This dynamic team works to further align our people and our actions with our purpose: to expand horizons and create lasting positive impacts through travel.

We sit down with Beatriz, Eidd and Joy to learn more about them and the role that they will play within the EXO Purpose Team.
Beatriz: EXO Foundation Leader
Bea has been a member of the EXO family since 2018. Having spent five years in EXO’s Malaysia office, she brings extensive product and sales experience to her role as EXO Foundation Leader.
Beatriz is tasked with monitoring our support of existing projects, forging relationships with new projects, and driving awareness of our sustainable and responsible experiences.

Eidd: Sustainability Leader
Eidd’s main focus is tracking our sustainability efforts, working closely with Alexandra to ensure we are reaching our targets and pushing to always be improving. This includes collecting and compiling data for external reporting, assessing data to formulate recommendations, and ensuring we have training materials available and policies in place for our global team to work responsibly.
‘It’s exciting to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share a deep commitment to sustainability’, Eidd says. ‘I am always learning from my colleagues and using my skills and expertise to contribute to our collective mission of making a lasting and positive impact on our planet.’

Joy: Director of People and Culture
Joy brings two decades of human resource management experience to her role as Director of People and Culture. Joy drives our efforts to make EXO offices a great place to work, working alongside our in-destination leadership to empower our people, provide paths for professional development and to create an amazing, sustainable working environment.
‘It’s very important that we build the One EXO culture in our offices, especially as we welcome new team members,’ Joy explains. ‘Within the Purpose Team, we share a lot of ideas and information. Sustainability, the EXO Foundation and Human Capital are all linked together in our mission of making EXO a great place to work.’
Through the combined efforts of the Purpose Team and all of our team members, EXO continues to keep our purpose statement at the forefront of all that we do. We continually strive for improvement as we work to ensure EXO has a net positive impact on our destinations, our people and our valued guests.
